Peanut Butter Toffee Apple Dip

Jump to recipe

So butter boards have become a big thing lately online. Sure, they look great, but with Halloween coming up and so many BEAUTIFUL ripe apples at the produce stand, I wanted something different.

This Peanut Butter Toffee Apple Dip can be arranged on a board or simply served in a bowl alongside your apple slices. I like to use something shallow though so you have more surface area on the top for garnishes.

I went with classic caramel apple flavours with little toffee bits and mini semi-sweet chocolate chips but you can get as creative as you like. The kids might love some crushed up Smarties, or maybe sound ground peanuts. You could even do raisins and decrease the brown sugar in the recipe if you wanted this tasty little treat to be a slightly healthier snack.

Really, no matter how you slice it, this Peanut Butter Toffee Apple Dip will please everyone at the table and you'll be happy too because it really couldn't be easier.

I really don't have a wine pairing for this little treat, except maybe for that celebratory glass you can pour yourself while you watch your littles DEVOUR the apple slices with this protein rich dip. You can drink what you like...

Peanut Butter Toffee Apple Dip

Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 4 oz (half a package) of cream cheese, softened

  • 1/4 cup lightly packed brown sugar

  • 1/4 all natural peanut butter (not the sweetened stuff)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cinnamon

  • Tiny pinch of salt

  • Toffee bits and mini chocolate chips for garnish

  • 2-3 ripe apples, I like Honeycrisp

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

  2. Add peanut butter, vanilla, cinnamon and sal, and beat until creamy.

  3. Spread on board or in serving dish and sprinkle with your desired toppings, I love toffee bits and mini chocolate chips.

  4. Core and slice your apples and arrange for serving. Enjoy!
